Air Conditioning/Refrigeration IV
This course is designed to teach systems that combine heating and cooling systems, including electric, gas, and oil heating added to electric air conditioning with air source and geothermal heat pumps and their components being the main focus of the course. Students will learn how to adjust the indoor air quality for maximum comfort, how to determine the correct system size for a residence, its installation, its typical operating conditions, and the troubleshooting of its components and controls. Students will gain experience in the lab using a psychrometer and duct size tables. Students will learn proper installation as an addition to existing heating system.
This course is only held at Ayers Career College. Students will earn 1 Carnegie Credit per course.
